A multi-hyphenate creator, Tom has built a distinguished career as a writer, director, editor, and producer. He is the WINNER of the 2024 Fade In Grand Prize Award for Best Drama Screenplay in Hollywood and the recipient of the Best Feature Screenplay award at the 2026 Garden State Film Festival for his script, Bedbuggers. Tom is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America, the Actors Studio Playwright/Directors Workshop (PDW), and The Actors Gym with Oscar-winner Bobby Moresco. His play, Barklee, is currently part of the AMT Theater New Development Program in New York City. A staple of the Jersey Shore film scene, Tom is a member of the Asbury Arts Council’s Filmmaker Meetup Group and a two-time finalist of the APin3 Contest in Asbury Park. In addition to his creative accolades, Tom serves his community as a 9-1-1 Emergency Dispatcher in New Jersey. This unique vantage point on the human condition fuels his storytelling and his leadership as co-founder of The Brooks Playwrights Group at the historic Brooks Arts Center in Bound Brook, NJ. Synopsis for Bedbuggers Title: Bedbuggers Logline: After the sudden death of their mother, two siblings are forced into a nomadic life of grifting and "bedbugging" across the country with their estranged, eccentric father. Synopsis: Bedbuggers is a gritty, heartfelt dramedy that explores the messy reality of grief and the unconventional bonds of family. When a brother and sister are uprooted from their stable lives, they are thrust into the shadow-world of their father’s scams. As they travel from motel to motel, they must decide if they are running toward a new life or simply running away from the ghosts of the old one. It is a story of survival, dark humor, and the search for "home" in the most unlikely places.
